High temperature prevention technology for summer greenhouse

It should be noted that clean water should be sprayed in the space above the top of the plant and below the canopy, rather than directly onto the plant, as sudden cold stimulation can cause discomfort and prevent the plant from adjusting in a timely manner. Do not ventilate heavily when spraying water. If there is a lot of ventilation in the greenhouse when spraying water, the moisture will evaporate directly from the air outlet, which not only does not have a cooling effect, but also easily leads to fruit cracking due to rapid evaporation of moisture. In addition, a small amount of functional foliar fertilizer can be added to water to improve leaf resistance and reduce high temperature hazards.

Pouring small water and pouring large water

In hot weather, pouring small amounts of water into water channels or planting rows (or operating rows) at noon, known as the "water over soil wetting" method, can reduce surface soil temperature without affecting the growth of deep soil roots. After watering, the plastic film covering the planting rows should be pulled up to promote water evaporation and cooling. When using this method, it is important to avoid the phenomenon of soil drying out, where the soil surface is moist while the deep layers are dry. Therefore, a combination of small and large water can be adopted, with small water cooling and humidifying, and large water preventing deep soil drought.

Spread straw and leave more leaves

Laying straw and rice husks inside the operation line can also have the effect of moisturizing and lowering ground temperature. Considering the fast evaporation of water at high temperatures and frequent watering, it is recommended to lay crop straw or rice husks in the operating area to buffer heat and water. It is understood that covering crop straw in the operating row during summer can reduce the indoor temperature by 4-5 ℃ and delay the weekly watering to 10-12 days.
